12/03/05Winter light-for violin and guitar at Nagoya's Fushimi Denki Bunka Kaikan Concert Hall at 10am.This piece was commissioned by Chie Morimoto as a program opener. In this piece I wanted to explore the feeling of early winter light-

10/01/05- Groove-for clarinet, violin, and piano at Nagoya's Fushimi Denki Bunka Kaikan Concert Hallat 10:45am.This piece was commissioned by Chie Morimoto as a program opener. In this piece I wanted to explore the clarinet's twin personality- it's ability to be very rhythmic and also very sentimental.

8/26/05- Aubade-for string quartet at Nagoya's Fushimi Denki Bunka Kaikan Concert Hall at 10:45am.This piece was commissioned by Chie Morimoto as a program opener for a morning concert hence the title. It is a short one-movement work. An aubade is traditionally a dialogue between two lovers in the early morning before they both must part. It came to be used in the 17th century for civic occassions that were held in the morning. I was enamored of the idea of two lovers still entwined in dreams whispering to each other in the early morning.
